INTERMEDIATE 1, 2, AND 3
For experienced students who have been through Ignite! classes or have practiced Iyengar Yoga before.
In Intermediate 1, students build on what they have have already learned in Ignite!-- basic actions of beginning standing postures, seated postures, and Shoulder Stand. Now it's time to learn back bending, twisting, and how to do Head Stand or an appropriate substitution.
• SCHEDULE: Sundays, 4 to 5:30 pm and Thursdays, 7 to 8:30 pm
In Intermediate 2, we add to your repertoire of basic postures and introduce more complex postures including Padmasana (Lotus posture); variations in inversions; and simple arm balances.
• SCHEDULE: Tuesdays, 5:45 to 7:15pm
Intermediate 3 is our most advanced class. Regular attendance and home practice is expected. Permission is required.
• SCHEDULE: Sundays, 10:30am to 12:15pm
In all ntermediate level classes, we introduce students to yoga philosophy and chanting. We also schedule the last week of the month for pranayama and restorative classes.
